Die Deutschen mögen so was anscheinend sehr, hm?
Time flies, it's May already! A lovely hello to you!
I've now woken up from my hibernation and have a lot to do in the studio again. There are also many new exhibitions in Dresden, in May. I will visit some and then report about it!
My summer picture "The sun and I" is almost finished, I would like to emphasize a few subtleties and then hopefully it will be finished soon.
Appropriate for the start of summer :D meanwhile I also noticed that I particularly like the colour gradients in the lower part of the picture, now I'm thinking about painting something like that as a picture without a figure or people. I really like gradients, maybe I can use that for the poems I wrote without any artistic inspiration of mine. That would be interesting, right??? Also, I started a new bigger picture.
I'm not really satisfied yet, but I don't have to be, it's still in the making. And I have to admit that you can see from the picture why watercolour is so unpredictable and after drying, completely new ideas sometimes come up due to the random drying that you can never really calculate beforehand. I like this quality of watercolour, you don't have 100% control over it :) The green stains weren't planned, they remind me of something organic or a seed. That's exactly what I find super exciting and definitely expandable!
Last weekend I was in Leipzig for a gallery tour in the Spinnerei. I was really looking forward to it, but unfortunately I can't say as many good things about it as I would like :( I found a lot of the work just depressing, dark and bland. And people seem to like buying it. ... I don't know. I wouldn't hang sad paintings or prints in my room. The Germans seem to like that sort of thing, huh? I just took a picture and only for the caption. I have something similar also once written in my sketchbook, but I folded chickens :D
Speaking of chickens, we got 4 new super cute ones :)
I wish you a great weekend! :)
